From the moment of choosing their location, our data centers are designed to be energy efficient and sustainable. This green-by-design approach ensures we maximize energy efficiency by using innovative solutions to reduce consumption of natural resources to a minimum, without compromising the performance and reliability of our cloud services.
Energy from renewable sources
In addition to purchasing Guarantee of Origin (GO) certified electricity, we are involved in a number of renewable energy production initiatives. We produce clean energy from our own photovoltaic systems and hydroelectric plants. Solar panels are installed on the extensive surfaces walls and roofs of our data centers that are exposed to the sun. We also own eight hydroelectric plants across Italy.
Climate Neutral Data Center Pact
Aruba is a member of the Climate Neutral Data Center Pact (CNDCP), a self-regulatory initiative that aims to make European data centers climate neutral by 2030. We are already in line with the main aims of the pact: energy efficiency, water consumption, use of clean energy, reuse of IT components and efficient storage technology.
